Ulf Ljunggren founded Scandinavian Cosmetics in Malmö. Initially a modest logistics and distribution company, it quickly evolved thanks to early partnerships with iconic brands like Max Factor and Clarins, marking the start of a promising future.

2016
The Formation of Scandinavian Cosmetics Group
A significant development for the company occurred when the investment firm Aurelius recognized its potential and acquired Scandinavian Cosmetics, along with the Norwegian distributor Engelschiøn Marwell Hauge AS (EMH). This acquisition led to the formation of the Scandinavian Cosmetics Group and significantly expanded its regional presence. EMH, a major player in Norway, managed over 50 brands and had partnerships with global leaders such as Procter & Gamble, Shiseido, Coty, and LVMH. With this acquisition, the company was well-positioned for significant growth.

Expanding Across Scandinavia
This year marked the company's expansion into Denmark and Finland as it pursued its vision of dominating the Scandinavian beauty market.

Accelerated Growth Through Acquisitions
The Scandinavian Cosmetics Group's acquisition of Alf Sørensen AB in Sweden and Solis AS in Norway added an exciting new dimension. These distributors represented prestigious international names like Bvlgari, Versace, Clean, Paul Smith, Moschino, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Oscar de la Renta. Scandinavian Cosmetics had officially established itself as a leading force in the world of fragrances, makeup and skincare.

A New Chapter
In a surprising development, Aurelius sold the Scandinavian Cosmetics Group to Accent Equity, marking the start of a new chapter for the rapidly growing company. This left many to wonder what would come next.

Nordic Logistic Center
The company achieved a new milestone by establishing a shared Nordic warehouse in Malmö, laying the foundation for more effective regional collaboration and distribution.

2022
Acquired by Storskogen
In another significant move, investment firm Storskogen signed an agreement to acquire 96% of Scandinavian Cosmetics Group from Accent Equity, which retained a minority share. This acquisition set the company on a path for further innovation and growth. Additionally, Scandinavian Cosmetics relocated its headquarters to Hyllie, establishing a new office in The Point, Malmö's tallest building. The office, spanning two floors, offers a spectacular view of the Öresund Bridge, symbolizing the company's growing connections and ambitions across Scandinavia.

Cross-Border Collaboration and Expansion
This year marked the company's initial steps toward fostering cross-border collaboration, underscoring its commitment to seamless regional operations. Furthermore, Scandinavian Cosmetics opened its first physical office in Finland, expanding its presence in the area.
With each chapter, Scandinavian Cosmetics continues to grow and evolve, positioning itself as a dominant player in the beauty industry across Scandinavia.
